Routes 701 and 702 Operating on Detour, effective 04/03/2023

Carbon Transit Bus Routes 701 and 702 will be operating on long-term detours, effective April 3rd, 2023. In Palmerton, both routes will not service Columbia Ave. In Lehighton, both routes will not service Blakeslee Blvd between S 9th St. and E Bridge St..

 

Route 701 Resuming Operation, 04/03/2023

Carbon Transit has resumed operation of CT Bus Route 701, effective Monday, April 3rd, 2023. CT Bus Route 701 will operate its previous Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule. With CT Bus Route 701 in service, CT Flex Route 750 will be suspended.

Service Delayed – 2/14/2024

Due to inclement weather, Carbon Transit has delayed start times for all services on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024. This includes all Carbon Transit services, Ct Bus, Ct Shared-Ride, and Ct Flex.

CT Bus Route 701 will begin on a delayed start Southbound from Carbon Depot at 9:50am; CT Bus Route 702 will begin on a delayed start Northbound from Palmerton at 10:15am.

CT Shared-Ride and CT Flex will operate on delayed start at 10:00am; trips with scheduled drop off times prior to 10:00am will not be conducted.

 

Service Cancellation – 02/13/2024

Due to inclement weather, all Carbon Transit services are cancelled for the day. This includes CT Bus CT Flex and CT Shared-Ride services.

 

Cancelled Service – 01/19/2024

Due to inclement weather, Carbon transit services will be suspended for the remainder of the day. CT Shared-Ride will operate for return trips only that were previously scheduled. All other services will not be in operations.

 

CT Shared-Ride Service Delayed, 01/08/2024

Due to inclement weather, CT Shared-Ride has delayed start times until 8am on Monday, January 8th, 2024. No pickups will occur before 8am. CT Bus and CT Flex are unaffected, and will operate as regularly scheduled.

 

Service Delayed – 12/11/2023

Due to inclement weather, Carbon Transit has delayed start times for all services until noon on Monday, December 11th, 2023. This includes all Carbon Transit services, Ct Bus, Ct Shared-Ride, and Ct Flex.

CT Bus Route 702 will depart Southbound to Palmerton at 11:50am; CT Bus Route 701 will depart at 12:25pm Northbound to Coaldale.

Service Delayed until 11am Wednesday – 3/15/2023

Due to poor road conditions, Carbon Transit has delayed start times for all services until 11:00am on Tuesday, March 14th. CT Shared-Ride and CT Flex trips prior to 11am have been cancelled and need to be rebooked. CT Bus Route 702 will begin service in Nesquehoning at 11:50am. Please call 888-253-8333 for rebooking.

All Service Cancelled – 3/14/2023

Due to inclement weather, Carbon Transit has cancelled all service for the remainder of Tuesday, March 14th. This includes all CT Bus, CT Shared-Ride, and CT Flex. Shared-Ride and Flex riders will have to rebook trips beginning Wednesday. Please call 888-253-8333.

Suspended Service – 3/7/2023

Due to inclement weather, Carbon Transit will be suspending service until 9am. This includes all Carbon Transit services, Ct Bus, Ct Shared-Ride, and Ct Flex.

Service Cancellation- 02/28/2023

Due to hazardous road conditions, all Carbon Transit service is cancelled on Tuesday, February 28th.

CT Bus will not operate. All CT Van and CT Flex trips have been cancelled and will require rebooking. Call 888-253-8333 to reschedule.

LANtaBus Route 325 from Palmerton will continue to operate on regular schedule.

Service Disruption – 01/25/2023

Due to inclement weather, CT Van and Flex are operating return trips only. Effective 12:30pm, all remaining trips are cancelled.

CT Bus 702 will terminate in Palmerton at 12:55pm.

Service Disruption -12/23/2022 11:50AM

Due to inclement weather, all Carbon Transit services, CT Bus, CT Flex will terminate service effective immediately.

CT Shared-Ride will operate return trip only. This means if a customer was dropped off  and is schedule to be picked up those trips will be completed.

CT Bus 11:50am and afternoon trips cancelled.

Service Disruption -12/22/2022 11:30 AM

Due to inclement weather, all Carbon Transit services, CT Bus, CT Flex will terminate service effective immediately.

CT Shared-Ride will operate return trip only. This means if a customer was dropped off   and is schedule to be picked up those trips will be completed.

Carbon Transit Not Operating, 12/16/2022

Due to winter weather conditions in the service area, Carbon Transit service will not be operating today. December 16th, 2023. We apologize for any inconveniences.

 

Route 701 Not Operating – New Flex Route 750

Due to a driver shortage, Carbon Transit will be suspending CT Bus Route 701 service until further notice. CT Flex Route 750 will replace this service. Ct Flex is our door to door reservation based option that serves within a defined area. For service in Coaldale, Lanford, Summit Hill, riders are encouraged to call 888-253-8333 to schedule CT Flex trips.  CT Bus Route 702 will continue to operate as scheduled. CT Shared Ride Service Alert

Due to limited availability in our schedules, we have implemented the following changes to our Carbon to Allentown-Tamaqua-Hazelton scheduling structure.

CARBON to ALLENTOWN (Trip must have an Allentown address)

  • Monday 10AM-12PM (Lottery, MATP)
  • Thursday 1PM-4PM (MATP)

CARBON to TAMAQUA

  • Monday – Friday
  • TAKE TRIP must be scheduled between 8:30AM – 9:30AM
  • RETURN TRIP must be scheduled between 1:30PM – 2:30PM
  • Trips should be placed on run 512

  • Medical trip with address city listed as Tamaqua
  • St.Lukes Miners Hospital Coaldale
  • Tamaqua Adult Daycare

CARBON to HAZELTON

  • Thursday 7AM – 5PM

Mask Mandate Optional

4/19/2022

The TSA has announced that the federal mask mandate for public transportation will no longer be enforced. As a result, masks will be optional for riders on LANTA services.  Please keep in mind that the CDC continues to recommend wearing a mask in indoor public transportation settings.

Cancelled Service

February 25, 2022

Service will not operate on Friday, February 25th. Service has been suspended due to icy road conditions following a winter storm. This includes CT Bus, CT Van, and CT Flex services.
