CT Shared Ride Paratransit Fares
- Full fares range from $27.00 for trips less than seven miles to $56.00 for trips greater than 35 miles.
- Self-pay consumers will pay 15% of the full fare (see the chart below).
- Carbon County Area Agency on Aging sponsored consumers who are 65 and older will pay 5% of the full fare (see the chart below).
- Fares for persons riding under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 will follow the 15% fare structure below, but the fare will not exceed $3.50 for any trips greater than 14 miles. Effective May 1, 2025, fares for persons riding under the ADA will not exceed $3.00.

Paying for CT-Shared-Ride Service
Carbon Transit uses EcoPay as its only payment system. Paper trip tickets are no longer accepted. While the base fare and zone fare still apply, all payments are made electronically through EcoPay.
You will be informed of your total fare when you schedule your trip.
What is EcoPay?
EcoPay is an account-based payment system for LANtaVan customers. Instead of paper tickets, funds are stored in your EcoPay account and automatically deducted each time you use LANtaVan service—supporting a more efficient and environmentally friendly system.
