We are hosting a public meeting to discuss our upcoming proposed changes to improve our service in Carbon County. After reviewing ridership logistics and past community input, we will implement these new changes beginning in January 2024. The public meeting will be held at:

Below you will find the full list of 2023 Proposed January Service Changes.
All changes will be posted 30 days before implementation.
Summary of January Proposed Service Changes is planned as follows:
- Route 701 and 702 timing will remain the same.
- Routes 701 and 702 will no longer serve Bertsch and Ridge Streets.
- Stops will revert to Patterson St and buses will continue to serve Lansford Midrise and Boyer’s Food Market on every trip.
- Alignment adjustments in Lehighton on 9th Street and Lehigh River.
- Buses will travel along Bridge Street in both directions
- Stops removed from Gnaden Huetten and Lowe’s
- Stops will be added at ALDI and Lehigh Valley Hospital – Carbon
- There will no longer be Flag Stops allowed (waving buses down) – all boarding on Carbon Transit will occur at official stops only.
- NEW signage will be added to all official stops.
- NEW Realtime Tracking is now live in Carbon County, which include MyStop, Transit App, Google Maps, and Token Transit LANTA Fares accepted on CT Bus & CT Flex.
- We are also looking for preferred stop locations to consider from community.
